Dear Friend,
Today marks The Rutherford Institute’s 41st anniversary ([link removed]) , and we’re celebrating with a week of legal victories before the U.S. Supreme Court.
In Counterman v. Colorado, the Supreme Court agreed to rein in the government’s power to punish speech. It’s an important win for the people’s right to speak truth to power.
In Groff v. DeJoy, the high court affirmed that government employees should not have to choose between their right of conscience and the threat of losing their livelihood when reasonable accommodations can be found.
And in Moore v. Harper, the Court pushed back on attempts by the Deep State to maintain its chokehold on power by undermining the rights of the citizenry to choose their own representatives.
Three very different cases with one common thread: each of them gives power to the people—the power to speak our truths, the power to hold fast to our beliefs, and the power to shape our government.
$100,000 FIRST AMENDMENT CHALLENGE DEADLINE: JUNE 30 ([link removed])
Thanks to you, we’re waging and winning these many battles for freedom.
Your generous support makes it possible for us to stay on the front lines of these critical legal battles.
That’s why, with a $100,000 First Amendment challenge deadline on June 30, I hope you’ll take a moment to make a tax-deductible donation to The Rutherford Institute ([link removed]) to sustain the vital legal and educational programs that enable us to push back against the government’s power grabs, corruption, immorality and ongoing assaults on the Constitution.
Together, we WILL make America free again.
For freedom,
John W. Whitehead
President
P.S. The Rutherford Institute ([link removed]) —nonpartisan, apolitical and committed to the principles enshrined in the Constitution and Bill of Rights—is working hard to push back against the government’s heavy-handed tyranny on almost every front. We’re filing lawsuits, issuing policy papers, training future freedom fighters, sounding the alarm over constitutional violations, and fighting in and out of the courts to hold the government accountable to playing by the rules of the Constitution.
Still, we couldn’t do all that we do without you. With so many cases and issues hanging in the balance and budgetary concerns that must be addressed, we need your help.
