We have good news and bad news, John.

Good news: Last week, a group of GOP senators tried to overturn a critical gun safety measure bill that requires gun owners to register their pistols as short-barreled rifles if they have a stabilizing brace, often used by shooters to inflict more harm. Thanks to our coalition putting pressure on them, it failed.

Bad news: House Democrats tried to get lawmakers on the record for a vote on three lifesaving gun safety bills, but a group of pro-gun lobby House members banded together to block it.
