John,
Oregon lawmakers wrapped up the 2023 legislative session this past weekend, and I’m pleased to say we made solid progress on my mission-focused agenda.
My top three priorities since Day One of my administration have been housing and homelessness, mental health and addiction services, and education and child care — and we saw real, concrete action taken on all of these during the session.
Over a billion dollars has been allocated to respond to the housing and homelessness crisis after I declared a state of emergency on my first day in office.
We’ll be building new affordable housing, rehousing folks who need it, and bolstering resources to prevent evictions and homelessness in the first place.
The legislature committed hundreds of millions of dollars for detox and rehab facilities, for the suicide prevention hotline, and for increasing access to life-saving overdose reversal kits.
On education, we established targeted funding for early literacy, so all of Oregon’s students can learn to read and write because of science-based instruction in our schools and communities. We also created a child care infrastructure fund in order to increase access to affordable child care for more families.
All this progress was done through the hard work and dedication of many folks — including you. The 2023 legislative session is over now, but our work isn’t done, which is why I’m asking you for your support once again.
Will you chip in any amount today to support my work for all Oregonians? I’m looking to build on the momentum we’ve created to achieve more wins for our state, and your donations will help get it done:

Of course, this session wasn’t without its challenges. There’s still lots of work left to do for Oregon, but I’m more motivated than ever to roll up my sleeves and get it done.
Thanks for being by my side.
Best wishes,
Tina
