Earlier this week, my team launched our fundraising drive, and today they informed me of a harsh reality:

We are critically behind our fundraising goals.

I try not to ask a lot of you. But today, I am counting on your support because we cannot reach our goals without your $3 contribution.

Can you please contribute $3, or whatever you can afford, to my reelection campaign ahead of our FEC deadline Friday? I would not ask if it weren't important.

By now you know that I don’t accept any corporate PAC money, so every single contribution to my campaign comes from folks like you, chipping in $3 at a time.

So when I say we can’t reach our goals without your support, it's no exaggeration.
