Thank you for helping make this work possible! Dear John, As summer sets in, and the quarter comes to a close, I want to reshare some highlights from PRA that your generous support has made possible! Your continued help to sustain our work provides change-makers with strategic insights and actionable research to identify and disrupt movements that undermine democracy, justice, and human rights. Join me below for some ways we are doing so! Support PRA's pro-democracy work before June 30 PRA launched our first ever "Strategic Partnerships team" with the hiring of Reverend Naomi Washington Leapheart. Leading our strategy for identifying and deepening relationships with frontline grassroots organizers, journalists, and philanthropic partners, Rev. Naomi comes to PRA as a minister, professor, movement strategist, singer and Blackqueer daughter of Detroit. She has worked as a faith organizer and director for POWER Interfaith, the National LGBTQ Task Force, and the Mayor’s Office of Public Engagement in the city of Philadelphia. She teaches emerging scholars of religion and theology at Villanova University, Arcadia University, and Harvard School of Divinity. Read Naomi's full bio here. PRA is shedding light on less well-known movements to resource frontline organizers with insights into the latest Right-wing trends. Abortion Abolitionists PRA has held private briefings for journalists, and provides ongoing briefings for movement leaders such as Collective Power for Reproductive Justice on the strategies and latest trends of this growing movement that is co-opting abolitionist language to fight against reproductive freedom and bodily autonomy. New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) Often overlooked in discourse on the Christian Right, the NAR played an important role in the January 6th insurrection and promotes a vision of End Times Christian dominion, via conquering the metaphorical seven mountains of cultural influence, which includes family, government, religion, business, education, arts & entertainment, and media. PRA continues to offer our supporters special access to our research, movement partner wisdom, and our ongoing plans through Inform Your Giving. PRA completed our second Inform Your Giving series, this time on right-wing funding, to give donors more tools to use their giving to push back against right-wing forces. We are planning our fall and winter programming now: if you want to support PRA, please fill out our donor survey. Will you give today to continue this work? There's so much more to come in the next quarter, and I look forward to keeping you updated. Thank you for your generous support this year, and for continuing to be an integral part of PRA's community.
