Standing against the ATF's pistol brace rule

I recently voted to block the ATF's unconstitutional pistol brace rule. The rule, titled "Factoring Criteria for Firearms with Attached Stabilizing Braces", would reclassify pistols as short-barreled rifles if they have a stabilizing brace attachment, even though many disabled veterans and other Americans rely on these braces to use their firearms. The rule turns 29 million Americans into automatic felons.

Combatting feral swine damage on Alabama's farms

This month, I introduced the Feral Swine Eradication Act to protect Alabama producers. Feral swine have caused millions of dollars in damage on agricultural operations across Alabama and can undo years of hard work on Alabama's farms, ranches and forests. I am standing with Alabama farmers to take action against this threat by authorizing an eradication pilot program with proven results.

Modernizing data for Alabama foresters

I recently introduced the Forest Data Modernization Act, to modernize the technologies and data collection methods used by the Forest Inventory and Analysis Program to meet growing market demand and support sustainable forest management decisions for our Alabama foresters.
