In about 36 hours, we’ll close the books on our second fundraising quarter of the year. Whatever we have in the bank at midnight tomorrow will be reported to the FEC – and that filing will be made public.
What we do this quarter will set the stage for our work ahead. This report will reflect how dedicated we are to preparing for the critical battles ahead, including our fight to take back the House.
But, it shares more than just how much we’ve raised over the last three months – more importantly, it shows how many folks are with us.
Right now, the GOP is looking for vulnerable campaigns to target so they can widen their majority, and they keep a close eye on reports to look for weaknesses. If we fall short now, everyone from Trump to North Carolina Republicans will see us as vulnerable, inviting attacks on the progress we’ve worked so hard to achieve.
