It is now one year after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, and the fight to preserve what is left of our fundamental rights is entering a critical new phase.

The shaky reasoning provided by the Court to justify tossing out 50 years of precedent betrayed the actual motives behind the decision: delivering on corrupt promises made to right wing extremists that have demanded absolute loyalty to a radical anti-abortion agenda.

You may remember that last year, in the chaos and uncertainty that followed the Dobbs decision, a 10-year-old Ohio girl was forced to travel across state lines to Indiana for an abortion after she was raped. The trauma inflicted on this little girl was directly caused by anti-abortion radicals pursuing an extreme and unpopular agenda.

My opponent, Congressman Jim Jordan, initially called this girl’s story a “lie” but then deleted a tweet about it once I called him out for his despicable behavior. My response went viral.

Jordan is exactly the kind of hypocritical coward who represents everything that is wrong with our political system today.

So while we work to defeat the extreme anti-abortion and anti-freedom agenda in the courts, we must take the fight to far right hatemongers like Jim Jordan, who is pushing a grossly unpopular agenda while covering up his own scandals and lies.
