We have to do more to prevent gun violence. I’m ready.

We have to do more than offer thoughts and prayers.
We have to take action -- for the survivors and families who grieve every day
for their loved ones, but especially today. On Valentine’s Day two years ago, a
gunman opened fire at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland,
Florida, killing 17 people and injuring 17 others.
Donald Trump has done nothing to prevent more lives from being lost to gun
violence.
But activists across the country have stood up to say enough is enough.
People of all ages have gotten organized and cast votes to end the gridlock on
gun safety in Washington. Parkland survivors are helping to lead a movement of
young people demanding change.
Today, I want you to hear from some of the brave survivors I’ve met, and
commit to the fight to do more. Watch their stories now.

I got in the fight to prevent gun violence long before Parkland -- and I’m
still in it now. I promise when I’m in the White House to sign comprehensive
gun safety legislation and make our country safer for everyone.
Thank you for being part of this movement,
Mike Bloomberg
