Dear John,
Expanding the Future Caucus network, preparing for Future Summit, and highlighting the policy accomplishments of our legislators have made for an eventful couple of months here at MAP! We've seen what happens when legislators choose to come together, push partisan differences aside, and get things done.
As we embark on the summer months, we are excited to continue supporting Millennial and Gen Z legislators across the country and provide them with the tools and resources they need to amplify their message and change our political culture.
Read on to learn how young lawmakers are bridging the partisan divide and leaving a lasting legacy for generations to come.

2022 was a big year at MAP! We had nearly 200 legislators take active leadership roles in our organization, and thirteen percent of all young legislators nationwide participated in our programming. As we look towards the future, and as more Millennials and Gen Zers step into public office, we feel the need for MAP and our Future Caucus network more than ever. We're excited by the progress that has been made and look forward to continuing to build a healthier democracy.

This quarter, MAP was able to catch the attention of major national platforms such as Fortune Magazine, Teen Vogue, and The Boston Globe. MAP was also able to land hits in local outlets for our work in the states – being featured in Sunday newspapers, local broadcast, and radio networks. It’s clear that people – and the press – are interested in legislators who are more interested in solving problems than just talking about them. Some of our top hits from this quarter include:

STORYBANK
At the start of the year, MAP launched the “ Young Lawmakers Storybank” [[link removed]] – a curated database of stories about young lawmakers governing effectively – in order to share these stories. This quarter, we featured pieces such as “ Maternal Leadership: How Young Mothers in Public Office Are Driving Policy Change [[link removed]] ” which discusses the remarkable shift we're seeing with more young mothers stepping into elected office and our “On the Rise” [[link removed]] series which profiles individual lawmakers in the Future Caucus network. We look forward to sharing the hundreds of other stories from our work. To submit your own story on how young leaders in your community are forging future-focused solutions, email [email protected].
