Caregiver Webinar Series with HHS Aging Services Coordination Office Will Lead Into National Family Caregiver Month in November

The Texas Health and Human Services Aging Services Coordination Office is hosting a caregiver webinar series beginning in August with monthly lunchtime webinars and ending with a series of weekly webinars during National Family Caregivers Month in November.

The webinar series is for caregivers, people who work with caregivers and anyone interested in caregiving.?Texans are diverse in their experiences caring for one another, whether it be an immediate family member, a close friend or a neighbor. Caregiver supports and resources must be as diverse as the growing range of care needs in Texas. Register to join this webinar series for a range of different caregiving topics during your Lunch Hour:

  • August 16, 12:00 pm: Strengthening the care you give: An overview of caregiving in Texas and a highlight of the HHS Strengthen the Care You Give campaign. Register here.
  • September 20, 12:00 pm: The importance of self-care while caregiving: How caregivers can care for their mental health as a part of their self-care. Register here.
  • October 18, 12:00 pm: Caregivers in the workplace: The challenges caregivers face in the workforce, the laws protecting them and the supports available. Register here.
