Friends –

We all get so many political emails in our inboxes. They all end up sounding the same. But I have known Andrei for nearly a quarter of a century, and we’ve been married for over 17 years. There is nobody that knows him better. So I asked to send this personal email to you to tell you why I hope you’ll give Andrei your support.

You often hear about Andrei’s professional achievements. But it’s his values and who he is as a person that is why I believe he should be in Congress.

He’s the dad and husband who cooks dinner for us most nights, no matter what else is going on or how busy he is.

He is someone who would much rather stay at home to watch a movie with us than go to a fancy dinner.

And the only reason he would take on something like this campaign for Congress is that he believes our democracy and our planet are on the line, and he cares about our kids – and all of our kids – too much to just stand by.

Tomorrow is the most important campaign fundraising deadline of this entire race. Would you chip in now to help him out?

Our kids are 12 and 15, and so when he started thinking about running for Congress, we had a family discussion. We went through what it would be like – the time away from family during the campaign and if he won, the millions of dollars of attack ads that would be spent against him. We tried our best not to sugarcoat it.

Our kids asked why he wanted to run, and Andrei talked about the difference he thought he could make, about all the ways in which our country and community deserved to be better represented, and all the people whose lives he could help. And – without hesitating – our kids said: you would, and nobody could do it better than you.

If you've been contemplating making a donation but have been putting it off or waiting until the election draws closer, I understand. It's natural to hesitate and to think your support will matter more later on. However, I want to emphasize to you what I’ve learned: that your contribution will have the greatest impact if made before June 30.

Every dollar counts, and your contribution will be instrumental in Andrei’s journey. As Andrei’s wife, as a mother, and as a voter, I assure you that Andrei is the kind of person we want in our Congress. Whatever amount you’re able to contribute, your donation matters right now more than ever.
