Dear John,
It’s been one year since the Supreme Court ruled against abortion care, overturning nearly 50 years of precedent set by Roe v. Wade. For years, many of us heard there was no chance that Roe could fall. But then, the clock was struck back on reproductive rights for millions.
While this was a blow, I’ve never been one to back down from a fight that protects our right to decide what’s best for our families and our economic stability. I know you’re feeling the same. Now, it’s time to pick the fight back up and protect our right to choose.
Tell your Governor right now that abortion care IS family care. We need to rise up and call on our state leaders to take action to protect abortion care and our right to choose!
Take Action
In the year since Roe was struck down, we’ve watched as anti-abortion legislators across the country escalate efforts to pass abortion bans that are detrimental to our health, our economic stability, and our ability to live a life of our choosing.
The impact of abortion bans falls hardest on those already facing unequal barriers to care, especially young people, LGBTQ+ people, disabled people, and Black, Brown, and Indigenous people. Everyone deserves the opportunity and means to care and make decisions for themselves, their families and futures – no matter what.
We’re fighting for a future where we all have the freedom to care for our loved ones with paid leave, affordable child care, home- and community-based care, and abortion care. John, can you join us?
Take Action
It’s been one year but our fight continues. Together, we’ll fight for better care – including abortion care – for all.
With care,
Nicole Jorwic, Chief of Campaigns & Advocacy
