Earlier this year, Americans were stunned when a Chinese spy balloon was discovered in the skies over Montana.

Americans were even more stunned when the Biden Administration allowed that spy balloon to fly over Missouri, and continue over the Atlantic before finally shooting it down. But for days, the balloon continued to gather intelligence before President Biden finally acted.

Earlier this month, a Chinese Communist Party “Overseas Chinese Service Center” was discovered right here in Missouri. These so-called Service Centers are believed to be Chinese intelligence gathering operations and were found in seven U.S. cities, including St. Louis, San Francisco, St. Paul, Omaha, Charlotte, Houston, and Salt Lake City.

Last year, the New York Post reported on a Service Center spying on American leaders in New York City.

In 2013, Missouri politicians voted to allow China to buy our farmland. In fact, my opponent voted to approve the new law twice, and even voted to override Gov. Nixon’s veto.

Last year, I authored legislation to prohibit China, Iran, Venezuela, North Korea, and Russia from owning any Missouri land. My bill made it through the House, but the Senate failed to pass the bill and China continues to own Missouri land.

Let me be clear: China is our enemy and as Governor, I will put an end the Chinese Communist Party, or any of our enemies, owning Missouri land.
