Dear John,
Sometimes I hear from members of our community who think that NIAC doesn't work on human rights issues. I tell them that I would put NIAC's track record of advocacy and spotlighting the human rights of the Iranian people against any organization in our field.
See for yourself -- from advocating for policies [[link removed]] to enable Iranians access to the internet and targeting human rights violators to reporting on and condemning [[link removed]] human rights abuses: our record speaks for itself.

Unfortunately, some people believe you can't support human rights AND fight against war and sanctions.
To them, I say: advocating peaceful solutions to prevent war and broad sanctions that only punish ordinary Iranians are human rights issues .
Whether it is direct repression by Iran's government, inhumane sanctions from our own government, or protecting our community's civil rights at home: we stand up to injustice and for the rights and representation of all people – in Iran and here at home in our democracy.
But John, as a grassroots organization, we cannot do this work without your support. Two-thirds of our funding comes exclusively from individuals like yourself. The other third comes from charitable institutions like Ploughshares Fund and Proteus Fund . That's it [[link removed]] .
We have just 48 hours left to raise $40,000 - the final push to reach our vital $200,000 goal or we face a budget shortfall. We are so close to crossing that finish line, and your contribution could be the one that gets us there.
So please, if you still need to renew your support or make a contribution to NIAC, do so today so that we can continue fighting for our community and the basic principles of human rights for all people.
