Over the last few weeks GLSEN along with our partners, supporters, grassroots volunteers, students and educators have been the focused target of thousands of hate messages and unrelenting attacks from organized extremist groups.

The sad truth is; we are also seeing a continued escalation of hateful policy from legislators determined to erase LGBTQ+ identities in our schools. This year more than 500 anti-LGBTQ+ bills have been introduced around the country. This is a blatant attempt by lawmakers to mobilize voters and sway the upcoming elections so they can erase LGBTQ+ youth—not only from their schools—but their communities as well.
