Dear John,
As our fiscal year comes to a close, we urgently need your help. Child care services are in high demand across the country. Nearly half of the neighborhoods in the U.S. lack adequate child care options, and since the start of the pandemic, 15,856 providers have closed their doors, only making it harder for parents to find the care they need.
Compared to other developed countries, the United States invests significantly less in early childhood education and child care. Which means – it’s expensive and centers are running on razor-thin profit margins. Moreover, child care workers often struggle to make ends meet, making it hard to attract and retain qualified caregivers. While some families can afford to drop out of the workforce, or manage to spend 30% or more of their income on child care, families in under-resourced communities aren’t so “lucky” and children are falling behind. |
Your gift can:
-
Expand access to quality child care in under-served communities through doula, home visiting and center-based services.
-
Advocate for policy change to ensure that all families, regardless of their socio-economic status, have access to quality child care.
-
Provide resources and training programs for child care providers, equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed to deliver high-quality care and education.
-
Conduct research and innovation to improve early childhood development programs and ensure they remain effective.
Your contribution will not only benefit individual families but also help build a stronger community. You'll be nurturing future leaders, thinkers and innovators.
