Welcome1

Dear John,

As one of our most loyal supporters, you can help make the
Entertainment Community Fund's safety net as strong in the
future as you've helped it become today.

One of the simplest and most meaningful ways you can do this is by
joining our Edwin Forrest Society, a group of dedicated individuals
who have included the Entertainment Community Fund in their will or
estate plans.

The Society is named for Edwin Forrest, the first true star of the
American theater back in the 19th Century. He left the bulk of his
sizeable estate to be used for a retirement home for older members of
the performing arts and entertainment community.

You, too, can make a tangible and lasting difference by leaving a
legacy of your own. I invite you to learn more about making a planned
gift by reading our newsletter today.

Warmest regards,

Joe Benincasa (he, him, his)
President and CEO

A Legacy for the "Bravest People"

Peter Dan Levin is providing critical assistance and support to the
entertainment community as a member of the Edwin Forrest Society.

levin
At 90, Peter Dan Levin has had an illustrious career in the
entertainment field-dating back to his Broadway debut in 1955 as
Peter Van Daan in the original production of The Diary of Anne Frank.

But as roles dried up and his family expanded, Peter drove a moving
truck to make ends meet. Yet his passion for the performing arts never
wavered, and he established a career in TV.

For the next 45 years, Peter continued working in TV, and his wife
Audrey became an Emmy-winning writer. Peter and Audrey are dedicated
to supporting the performing arts and entertainment community as
long-time members of the Entertainment Community Fund.

When it came time for them to write a will, Peter says the
Entertainment Community Fund "was an ideal place to leave our
financial legacy to those in the industry."

"I love this community so much. They're the bravest people
in the world. Whether you're an actor or part of the audience,
if you love something, you'll give to it. You want to help
them."

Having hit a rough patch himself as a young man, Peter knows the
challenges of sustaining a life in the arts. "We're not
multi-millionaires," he says. "But we're doing what
we can to give to those who need help now and down the road."

Ways To Give: Celebrate your love of the entertainment community by
leaving a lasting legacy.

Bequests

One of the most common legacy gifts is a bequest. A bequest is a
charitable gift made through your will or trust. A gift through your
will does not affect your assets during your lifetime and will provide
an estate tax charitable contribution deduction, which may reduce or
even eliminate the federal estate tax. Bequests can be designed as a
specified amount of cash or as a gift of a designated asset, such as
gifts of intellectual property, real estate, artwork or other personal
property. Learn more about bequests.
