Sessions, and on the heels of the one-year mark of the Dobbs decision that
put abortion rights across the country into jeopardy. We have some

to life-saving healthcare within our state. It is crucial to acknowledge
the progress we have made, particularly in light of the recent signing of

individuals for providing or assisting in abortion healthcare access, and
the passage of [ [link removed] ]SJR7, which affirms that every individual has a
fundamental right to reproductive freedom, encompassing decisions
regarding pregnancy-related matters. These milestone pieces of legislation
exemplify our state’s and our legislature’s commitment to safeguarding the
right to abortion healthcare and protecting the well-being of our
community.

However, we also recognize that not all states have taken the same
proactive measures to preserve these vital healthcare rights. We aim to
shed light on the repercussions that result when states fail to protect
these rights, affecting not only their own communities but also other
states nationwide.
