Dear John,

The past six months have seen an explosion of interest in large language models, such as ChatGPT, and other artificial intelligence (AI) tools that are set to further transform the way we learn, work, and live. AI is increasingly being used by the general public for tasks of varying complexity–from writing short stories to generating code.
As funders consider where and how to invest in this growing area of interest, the emerging field of public interest technology (PIT) is of critical importance. PIT experts have been collaborating for well over a decade to build infrastructure support for the policy and technology implementation we need from AI now.
Join us on July 10 for a conversation about how funders can continue to build the ground for responsible innovation by cultivating an ecosystem that can be responsive, resilient, and proactive in light of any tech change.
