LEADERSHIP TEAM RE-ELECTED!

On Saturday, Morris County Democrats unanimously re-elected Chairwoman Amalia Duarte to a second term, along with her slate: Vice Chair Mike DeLamater, Treasurer Michael Thompson, Secretary Darcy Draeger and Sgt. at Arms Cara Parmigiani! They were sworn in by Morris Plains Mayor Jason Karr.
County Committee representatives from nearly every town in the county participated in the biennial reorganization meeting.
In her remarks Chairwoman Duarte thanked the Municipal Chairs, County Committee members and elected officials for their work to continue winning seats and expanding the Party in Morris County. She also reviewed last year's progress including building a greater social media presence; funding every campaign last year; offering Diversity, Equity & Inclusion training; reducing overhead; recruiting terrific candidates; and organizing successful rallies, fundraisers and candidate training events.
The meeting also saw adoption of updated bylaws, which now incorporate the organization's Constitution. The most important change to the bylaws is allowing updates as needed during special meetings, rather than having to wait for the biennial reorganization. This provides flexibility and the ability to improve the bylaws as needed.

March in the Brookside July 4th Parade with the Mendham Township Dems and LD-25 candidates! Meet on July 4th at 8:15 a.m., at the Mendham Township Middle School, 16 Washington Valley Rd., 07926. Wear patriotic colors! The day before, you can help decorate the float and make signs starting at 3 p.m.
