A task without a deadline is just a dream.

It’s one of Katie’s favorite sayings—whether it's about her kids’ promise
to clean their room or Congress’ plan to get things done, deadlines keep
us on track.

Our task is raising enough money to win a competitive primary in the
country’s most populous state.

Our deadline is Friday at midnight. That’s the Federal Election
Commission's Q2 deadline, and after midnight we have to report how much
we’ve raised these past three months. The number we report is seen as a
sign of the strength of our movement, and could shake up the state of this
race.
