Focus group participants needed! Share your perspectives and opinions on healthcare in Kitsap County.

Are you a Kitsap County resident? The Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security (CHS) would like to talk to you about your perspectives and opinions on the strengths and weaknesses of the public health and healthcare systems in Kitsap County as part of a study. CHS is working to understand how these systems serve county residents, and how local policymakers could improve them in the future.

We invite you to take part in a focus group, or small group discussion, about Kitsap County?s public health and healthcare systems. Your participation is voluntary. During the focus group, the CHS team will ask for your perspectives and opinions on the strengths and weaknesses of the county?s public health and healthcare systems. The focus group will be recorded, but your name will not be associated with your comments.

MORE ABOUT THE STUDY

In March, Kitsap Public Health selected?the?Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security [ [link removed] ]?to conduct a comprehensive?assessment of local healthcare systems?and provide policy recommendations for improving healthcare access for all Kitsap residents.?

The Johns Hopkins team is currently in the information and data collection stage of its study. Researchers are conducting interviews with Kitsap healthcare professionals and other subject matter experts and hosting a series of focus groups (including the three listed above) to gather additional community input.?

The research team will provide an update on its work at the July 11 meeting of the Kitsap Public Health Board [ [link removed] ].
