ICYMI, Marc detailed his thoughts on the rejection of the fringe independent state legislature (ISL) theory following the big victory for democracy in Moore v. Harper yesterday.

Here are some updates you may have missed.

• Pro-voting parties in Allen v. Milligan submitted a proposed remedial congressional map to the Alabama Legislature, following the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling that requires the state to draw a new map that includes a second majority-Black district.

• This morning, there was a preliminary injunction hearing in a federal lawsuit challenging Florida's omnibus voter suppression law to determine whether or not the law will be temporarily blocked.

• Proceedings in the state bar trial of Trump-lawyer John Eastman were canceled today. They will resume tomorrow. Eastman led a plot to overturn the 2020 presidential election utilizing the ISL theory.

• Communities of color and low income communities in Philadelphia are more likely to have their ballots rejected for trivial mistakes, according to analysis by Vote Beat and Spotlight PA.

Here’s what to expect coming up.

• Once the Supreme Court schedules its next order day, we are looking out for orders in two cases: a gerrymandering case out of Ohio and a felony disenfranchisement case in Mississippi.
