John,
As we get close to the halfway mark of 2023, we thought it was a good moment to step back and look at the big picture:
-
We’ve accomplished so much together already in the first half of 2023. Thanks to the support of tens of thousands of WFP members, we have won some big victories in places including Chicago, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Colorado, Texas, Georgia, Virginia, and just yesterday in New York. The results of these elections for offices like mayors, city councils, state legislatures, and other local offices are already making a big difference in people’s lives.
-
We’ve got a lot left to do if we’re going to get ready for the second half of 2023 and 2024. Over the next six months, we need to power our candidates across the finish line in general elections in states like Pennsylvania and Virginia, and in primaries and special elections in other states. We also need to scale up our efforts to recruit new candidates, train campaign staff, build out our infrastructure, and be prepared to win more governing power at every level in 2024.
The end of the quarter is this Friday, and we’re still running short of the online fundraising goal we set out for Q2 at the beginning of the year. Every contribution in response to this email will bring us closer to reaching that goal so that we can do all of these things — and more. Add a contribution of any amount to WFP here to let us know you’re in this fight with us:

We believe working people can and should lead — and chart the future of a country that works for us, not just the wealthy few.
We know that’s only possible when we join forces together.
Whether you can contribute financially this quarter or not, we’re thankful for all you do, every day, to help move this country in a better direction.
In solidarity,
WFP Digital Team
