The spiral staircase east of DOT headquarters has reopened.
The spiral staircase east of the Department of Transportation headquarters on East Capitol Campus has reopened to pedestrians. The staircase was temporarily closed for maintenance work. DES staff members mitigated chipping on the concrete steps, upgraded lighting, installed new "No Skateboarding" signs and cleaned the entire structure with a pressure washer.
