The Constitution Party is Working to
Achieve Ballot Access for 2024
ALASKA
Thanks to the
efforts of Karen Murray, former national executive committee member
from Washington, and Scott Kohlhaas, who helped with ballot access in
prior elections, the Constitution Party of Alaska is now officially
organized and ballot qualified. The party leadership is grateful to
Scott and Karen for all their hard work and especially grateful to the
members and supporters who contributed financially to make this
possible.
NORTH
CAROLINA
Our next ballot access goal is in the great state of North
Carolina. The campaign there is being led by Kevin Hayes, who led the
successful effort in the state for the first time in 2020.
Unfortunately, the Party did not receive the needed vote percentage in
the 2020 governor’s race, which resulted in loss of their access. But,
once again, under Kevin’s leadership, the Party is well on its way to
regaining official party status.
A total of 13,865 valid
registered voter signatures is required to gain ballot status.
Currently, 9,502 signatures have been turned in, and 7,485 have been
verified as valid for a success ratio of just over 77%. In addition,
another 1.500 are ready to be turned in to the various counties. If
the validity ratio holds up, that should give the party a total of
8,640 valid signatures leaving a need for 5,225 more signatures to
qualify the party for ballot status.
Most of those signatures
have been collected by local party members and Nick Sumbles, who has
successfully petitioned for our party in the past. They hope to reach
their goal by late
July.
MISSOURI
Once North Carolina is ballot-qualified, our next goal will be in
Missouri. Volunteers in that state are already gathering
signatures.
NEW
HAMPSHIRE
As you may already know, the state of Illinois became an affiliated
state at the National Committee meeting this past November, and the
state of New Hampshire became affiliated in April. The New Hampshire
party was represented by six attendees. Their goal is to become
ballot-qualified for the 2024 General Election.
New Hampshire
is organizing to gather a total of the required 3,000 valid signatures
this year: 1,500 signatures from each of the two congressional
districts. They may need some help from the national party as
well.
YOUR HELP IS
NEEDED
We are asking for your
help to first put the Constitution Party on the ballot in North
Carolina.
Your financial support will enable them to
collect the additional signatures needed to reach the 13,865 required
valid signature mark. We, therefore, ask each of you to donate without
delay whatever amount you can to reach that mark.
It has been
the party’s goal to gain ballot access in as many states as possible
before 2024, when the price per signature jumps significantly. It is
far cheaper in off-year election years since those professionals, who
make their livelihoods gathering signatures, will work for less money
to secure those signatures.
IMPORTANT NOTE: It
is critical that we raise as many funds as quickly as possible in the
next few weeks. Please do not delay sending your most generous
donation possible by clicking on this link. BALLOT
ACCESS DONATIONS
At this point, every single dollar you can contribute will be
appreciated as we work toward achieving ballot access in as many
states as possible.
Once again, I express my sincere gratitude
for your financial support that has enabled us to make the ballot
status progress that we have made thus far this year.
