** ORLANDO - On Monday, June 10th, Republican Scotty Moore announced his intenton to seek the Florida House of Representatives, District 35 seat. The seat is currently held by State Representative Fred Hawkins. Hawkins recently announced he will resign from that seat to pursue a state government position. There will likely be a special election in upcoming months.

“Ester and I are honored to announce that I am seeking the position to serve our community and state as Republican candidate for Florida House District 35,” Moore began.


“We cannot allow the woke, radical agenda that the Democrats ascribe to and push to gain any foothold in Florida. We must protect and continue to enhance the conservative policies being put forward by the State Legislature and Governor Ron DeSantis’ bold leadership. I believe it is essential we: Keep. Florida. Moore ran for United States Congress in 2022, becoming the Republican nominee by winning a multi-candidate primary with 61% of the votes cast.
