Strawberries are Here!
The cream of the crop is back! Strawberry?season is short and sweet with seasonal availability just tailing off in southern Minnesota and getting into full swing in the north, so don't wait if strawberries are your favorite! Dreaming of blueberry pie? Blueberries and raspberries will start being ripe in July!
When picking your own, be sure to call farms in advance before visiting to confirm hours and availability, and don?t forget to bring a hat, sunscreen, and water bottle to ensure a fun and safe experience. Pre-picked berries can also be found at many farmers' markets, but go early because these popular treats can sell out fast!?

Have You Found Your Farmers' Market Yet?
Summer market season is getting under way with most markets now open. Locate your nearest market and start eating seasonally!
It's great to pop into the farmers' market to shop for the freshest food around, but when possible, make a market visit an event! Plan to meet a friend for lunch or coffee while you walk the stalls and see what is coming up at a farm near you. Does your market have live music? Fresh bread? Squeaky cheese curds? How about a food truck with your favorite fried treat? Plus, the joy of the market can bring smiles long after when you look in your pantry and rediscover the pickled beans or local honey you picked up along the way.
