Dear friend -- My name is Tony Montalto and I am the President of Stand with Parkland - the National Association of Families for Safe Schools. I am also the father of Gina Rose Montalto, a talented, smart, and beautiful 14 year old freshman. Sadly, she was a victim of the mass shooting at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, on February 14, 2018. My wife Jennifer and I joined the 16 other families who lost loved ones in the Parkland shooting to form a national organization representing American families. We are committed to advocating for practical public safety reforms focused on the safety of our nation's children and staff at school, improved mental health support, and responsible firearms ownership. I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for standing with us, and share the success we’ve had in growing our organization since its launch. Thanks to everyone from local Florida reporters, to national media outlets, to members of Congress, our message of school safety has spread rapidly around the country, and we hope you’ll take a moment to read more about our organization: Your support has made this possible. We are grateful you have joined our organization and look forward to working with you to end violence in America's schools so that no other families have to experience the pain that we have had to endure. Respectfully, -- Tony Montalto
President, Stand with Parkland
