"When I go home, I play the game.
I learn from her and I play with my sister who doesn't like to play with me."Dear John,

Play has the power to bring us together.

For a fifth grader named Leyna, this was especially true when Playworks Coach Jasmine began making visits to her class this year. This daily time for play not only helped Leyna have fun in the classroom, but they also allowed her to build a stronger relationship with her sister.

After learning the rules and skills of each game at school, Leyna would go home and teach them to her sister, who normally didn’t like playing together. The games created an opportunity for the two girls to bond and have fun.

The benefits of daily play extend far beyond the classroom and continue to have an impact on students’ lives as they grow into young adults.

Join us in our mission to create a world where every child has a Coach Jasmine who can help them experience the power of play.
