A total of 424 organizations joined PIF in supporting a proposed regulation that would expand health care access for nearly 130,000 people with DACA. Our press release provides additional background. Many thanks to partners who raised their voices on behalf of immigrant families.

Both the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives are on recess this week. Before leaving D.C., there was a bicameral introduction of the LIFT the BAR Act and a bicameral Congressional letter to the Administration on DACA ACA. 

We still anticipate that the House will vote on the Congressional Review Act (CRA) challenge to public charge in July. We will let you know when the vote is scheduled. The good news is there is still time to add your organization to PIF’s sign-on letter opposing the resolution.

PIF Partner El Centro in Kansas City, Kansas, recently created a fantastic series of videos in Spanish alerting their community about the upcoming Medicaid re-enrollment requirements.  These videos can serve as an excellent model for others to follow: they are short, shareable, reassuring, and action-oriented. In addition to the videos, they share scripts that you can download to record your own videos. Make sure you are getting the word out in your community about Medicaid re-enrollment!
