Because of our work together this year, Minnesota is setting a national example of progress.
While GOP-led states were passing abortion bans, banning books, and bullying the LGBTQ+ community, Governor Walz and Lt. Governor Flanagan took action to protect the freedoms and rights of all Minnesotans.
We became the first state in the country to codify abortion rights into state law, banned the harmful practice of conversion “therapy,” made Minnesota a refuge for gender-affirming care, and so much more.
But our work is far from over. Republicans are still trying to obstruct our progress and drag us backward. That’s why, in odd years and even years alike, it’s critical that we keep our budget on track.
Our first end-of-quarter deadline since the end of this year’s historic legislative session is this Friday, and right now, we’re still trailing our goal by more than $9,500.
