Folks,
IRC staff just told me that children in northwest Syria see war planes on a daily basis.
They are filled with fear as they listen to the sound of bombs dropping and exploding nearby.
Their parents tune into local broadcasts every day to get updates on where the bombs are likely to hit. They know that when they finally have to flee, the conditions they will be heading into are perilous.
These families need you, as do so many refugees around the world. Please make a gift to help us support families living through crises like the one in Syria this winter. Donate now »
Friend, the fear of explosions is constant. Says one Syrian mother,
"The bombing happened suddenly while we were sleeping...I have six children...I have been looking for them for four days without eating. Looking for someone to help me find out whether they died in the bombing...But no one knows anything about them."
Please donate now to help us reach Syrian families and many others in crises worldwide. Donate now »
In northwest Syria, the IRC is providing lifesaving support to displaced families suffering through the violence and frigid temperatures. Our mobile medical units rush urgent medical care. We help families meet their most pressing needs whether that be food, shelter or fuel to keep them warm. We also support local health facilities and run safe spaces for children.
Around the world, we help refugees and displaced people to survive crises, like the one in Syria, recover and rebuild their lives.
Please donate what you can. Your gift will make a lasting impact for families in Syria and around the world.
Sincerely,
Emily Martin
