John,
It’s been 53 years since the Stonewall Uprising. We’ve made tremendous progress since then. But if Republicans get their way, they will roll back the clock to that much darker time for the LGBTQ+ community.
Show Republicans that we won’t go back . Stand up for the LGBTQ+ community by making a contribution to your CT Dems today. [[link removed]]

The Stonewall Uprising began in the early hours of June 28, 1969, when New York City police raided the Stonewall Inn, a gay club in Greenwich Village. The raid sparked six days of protests and served as a catalyst for the gay rights movement in the U.S.
It was a turning point in the struggle for LGBTQ+ rights. Bravely rising up against centuries of harassment, discrimination, and oppression, those early activists ignited a global movement for LGBTQ+ rights that continues to shape our understanding of equality and justice today.
In Connecticut, we are committed to upholding the principles of equality, dignity, and respect for all individuals, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity, that activists and allies have fought for (and won!) ever since.
Your support of Democrats is critical in this fight. [[link removed]] Republicans around the country - and here at home - are passing laws that ban our books, limit gender expression, and silence our voices.
We will not stand for it. Not in Connecticut. Democrats will always ensure that diversity is celebrated, love is honored, and every individual is valued for who they are in our state.
As we observe this pivotal moment in LGBTQ+ history today, let’s remember that the struggle goes on for our LGBTQ+ community to achieve full equality. Please give generously to continue making progress. [[link removed]]
Proudly,
Adrienne Billings-Smith
