Proud to Endorse - Liz Murrill

Liz Murrill
Maggie's List's newest endorsement

As Solicitor General, Liz Murrill has spent the last six years defending Louisiana and its laws in some of the most important cases in the country, both in state and federal courts, including the United States Supreme Court. She has fought to keep convicted criminals in prison, advocated for the unborn and fought tirelessly against federal overreach and invasive mandates. She is respected by state and federal judges and considered a leader among her peers around the country. Other candidates can only talk about what they will do if elected. Liz has actually been doing all of those things every day for the last six years.

"Maggie’s List has a proven track record of bringing people together in support of our shared conservative values of limited government and personal responsibility, and I’m honored to have their endorsement," Louisiana Solicitor General Liz Murrill said. "Because of Maggie’s List, Conservative Women are stepping up and fighting back against a culture of crime, federal overreach and out-of-control spending. Together, we will make our voices heard this coming election."

Maggie's List is excited to support Murrill while running for attorney general.

New State Chairs!

Yuripzy Morgan
Maggie's List Maryland State Chair

Yuripzy Morgan’s interest in government began with her family. Her mother fled the civil war in El Salvador, and her father is from Mexico. She was born and raised in East Texas several years after they met. They did not have much, but they did have a strong belief that anything was possible in America. It was a belief that her parents instilled in her and her four siblings.

She practiced law in the Baltimore region before joining WBAL Newsradio, where she hosted her own daily political talk radio show for several years.

She became increasingly aware, through law and radio, of how frustrated people were with the government. Most people simply wanted their government to work for them and needed an advocate. While on the radio, she continued to focus on informing the public of how the government is supposed to work and her personal interest in constitutional law.

Leora Levy
Maggie's List Connecticut State Chair

Leora Levy was the Republican nominee for U.S. Senate in Connecticut in 2022 and has proudly served as the Republican National Committeewoman for the State of Connecticut since 2016. Leora was born in Havana, Cuba and escaped Castro’s Communist Revolution with her family in 1960. She was honored to be nominated by President Donald Trump to be the US Ambassador to Chile in October, 2019.

Leora has served as Finance Chair for the most recent gubernatorial campaigns in Connecticut for Tom Foley (2014) and Bob Stefanowski (2018), as well as for the Connecticut Republican Party from 2013 to 2015. She has helped Republicans in Connecticut and nationwide for over forty years and has served on the Finance Committees for the RNC, the National Republican Senatorial Committee and the National Republican Congressional Committee.

A PAC Dedicated to Electing GOP Women Issues First Wave of 2024 Endorsements (Exclusive)
Maggie's List, a PAC dedicated to electing Republican women, issued 31 congressional endorsements

By Matt Holt

A leading GOP political action committee dedicated to electing Republican women endorsed their first crop of incumbents, according to a list shared exclusively with The Messenger.

Maggie’s List — named after former Sen. Margaret Chase Smith, the first woman to serve in both chambers of Congress — said it is building off of its strongest election cycle since its founding in 2010. In 2022, the group notched 36 candidate victories, including 11 first-time candidates.

“Our endorsed candidates each embody our principles of fiscal conservatism, small government and strong national security and we look forward to helping all Maggie’s List candidates succeed in both their primary and general election races,” said Maggie’s List chairman Sandra Mortham in a statement.

Tina Ramirez, a spokeswoman for Maggie’s List, told The Messenger that these early endorsements will help connect incumbent candidates to donor networks across the country to help build their campaigns ahead of the general election.
