John,
Two years ago today, seventeen innocent people were viciously gunned down at Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. This was the deadliest high school shooting in U.S. history since the Columbine High School massacre in 1999.
Since then, the House has passed several pieces of life-saving, bipartisan legislation to make our communities safer -- but Mitch McConnell refuses to bring any of these bills to the Senate floor for a vote. Perhaps that has something to do with the $1.2 million in campaign contributions from the National Rifle Association (NRA), or the $1.6 million the gun lobby spent against passing gun violence prevention measures in the first half of 2019 alone.
Since Mitch loves his gun lobby money more so than passing gun safety measures to protect families across the country -- we need your help to put the pressure on. Add your name to demand Mitch pass gun violence prevention measures NOW.
Every day in this country, one hundred people are shot and killed. That's about 36,000 deaths each year as a result of the gun violence epidemic -- not to mention the survivors left behind to pick up the pieces.
That's why we want to make sure Mitch McConnell hears our message loud and clear. Add your name today >>
Thanks,
Team Evans
