Another genius use of music in “The Bear: Season 2” is the use of an obscure Counting Crows tune, “Baby I’m a Big Star Now.” The song wasn’t even released in the United States—ever. It was a bonus track on the UK version of their 2008 hit album “Saturday Nights & Sunday Mornings.” You can’t even find this song on Spotify, Apple, or Amazon in the US. Given how great this track is, I’m not surprised that “The Bear” producers unearthed it. Counting Crows have sold over 20 million records and remain a dynamic touring force. I can’t understand how this song has slipped through the cracks. |
