John,

I am elated to hear the news that the Supreme Court has ruled in favor of voters across the country in their decision in Moore v. Harper – a case that was set to upend state and national elections.

Moore v. Harper follows a years-long effort by North Carolina Republicans to grant state legislatures the power to regulate federal elections and dilute the power of the vote.

In a political environment rife with extreme Republican legislation to dismantle voting rights, it is no small feat that the Supreme Court ruled in favor of voters in North Carolina and across the country. This decision represents an enormous victory for our democracy.

As we celebrate this victory, we cannot let our guard down. With the 2024 election coming into view, Republicans will continue their attempts at voter suppression at every chance they get.

We can’t allow them to feel emboldened to do so.

I ran for Congress to stand up for North Carolina families and protect our right to vote. I don’t intend to stop now. The fight to protect and expand access to the ballot box, advocate for fair districting, and combat voter suppression tactics continues. I hope you’ll join my efforts by contributing any amount to my campaign.

Onward,

Valerie
