Escaping the Fundamentalism of Iran, being Lesbian growing up in a Iranian household, and having to struggle to make ends meet, Sepi deeply understands what’s at stake because she’s been in the trenches, and has never given up.

As Mayor of WeHo, she drew from her experience to pass some of the most progressive policies in the country, including raising the minimum wage to the highest in the nation, increasing rental assistance that helped cut homelessness by 60%, and creating the social justice task force to ensure that Black, Indigenous and other people of color have a voice at the table.

And with so much on the line — climate change, LGBTQ+ equity, abortion rights, income inequality, and so much more — we need her fierce, unapologetic voice in Congress.
