John, one year ago the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, ending nearly a half-century of precedent protecting reproductive freedom at the national level. It was the culmination of decades of anti-choice activism.
But the attacks on abortion rights are far from over — in fact, they've only just begun.
Our research shows that the majority of young Latinos are pro-choice. That's why Voto Latino is working across the country to register and mobilize young Latinos so we can make our voices heard by electing leaders who will protect our rights. Every $24 donation helps us reach one more potential new voter in a battleground state. Will you pitch in now?
Voto Latino's CEO and founder María Teresa Kumar was exactly right when she said anti-choice extremists "will not stop until there is a nationwide ban on abortion."
It's true. It's only been a year since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, but already more than a dozen states have banned abortion entirely, and others impose severe restrictions. In fact, some states have even proposed travel bans on residents seeking reproductive care across state lines.
But here's the good news, John: Our communities have the power to defeat these extreme, dystopian policies.
Recent research shows that more than three-quarters of young Latinos support federal legislation to defend abortion rights. That means if we show up to vote in huge numbers, we can prevent anti-choice Republicans from gaining the power to implement their agenda.
Last November, our votes helped block the "red wave" that pundits had predicted in the midterm elections. But with MAGA extremists like Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis seeking the presidency in 2024, we'll need even bigger turnout this time around.
So please: Will you make a donation of any amount now to help power our voter outreach efforts? ([link removed])
