Trump budget harms people with low incomes, communities of color, and immigrants

The Trump Administration’s proposed FY 2021 budget shines a spotlight on who’s been losing out under this administration, including people with low incomes, immigrant communities, and communities of color. In addition to issuing a statement on the overall harm of his budget, we also blogged about how it would undermine the economic security of students and workers with low incomes by proposing to slash, cut, and/or eliminate critical federal student aid and workforce development programs.

On February 11-12, CLASP’s Moving on Maternal Depression (MOMD) team members, Stephanie Schmit and Isha Weerasinghe, helped Pennsylvania’s MOMD Core Team members analyze how their work can better reach families from communities of color. The first day included a training on structural racism by Joyce James Consulting.
