As your Lt. Governor, I believe the practice of child gender modification is ABHORRENT.

At the beginning of the 88th Legislative Session, I made banning these harmful procedures a top priority in the Texas Senate.

I’m proud we passed Senate Bill 14, which ends child gender modification in Texas.

SB 14 ensures that any doctor will lose his or her medical license if they sterilize or perform gender modification procedures on a child.

Additionally, SB 14 prohibits public money from being used or distributed to providers, medical schools, hospitals, or physicians who provide gender modification on children.
