FROM THE PRESIDENT

As we approach the 4^th of July, EPPC is dedicated to reminding America’s leaders of the principles on which our great country was founded: that we are one nation under God, that we are created equal with inalienable rights, that human law must embody natural and eternal law in order to be just.

With the support of our generous donors, EPPC crafts the arguments and policies needed to uphold the principles of the American Founding, religious freedom, and human dignity in the crucial public debates of our era.

This work is urgently needed. In March, the Wall Street Journal reported that support for patriotism, religion, community involvement, work, and having children have all declined precipitously over the past several decades.

The abandonment of religion, family, and patriotism is an unmistakable sign of the times, and an illustration of just how much work there is to do both shaping our laws justly and re-forming our citizens for virtuous self-government.

To this end, EPPC scholars engage leaders at all levels of civil society through scholarship, policy analysis, model legislation, and amicus briefs on the long-term, civilizational issues that matter for human dignity, identity, and flourishing. In an anti-human age, EPPC scholars defend a full and true account of human nature and foster a culture in which that nature can thrive.
