Delaware Opts Out of Physician Supervision of CRNAs
Delaware patients now have increased access to safe, affordable anesthesia care, according to American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology. The state is the latest to opt out from federal regulations that require physician supervision of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs).

ANA Releases Position Statement on Racism in Nursing
The American Nurses Association's director for the Center for Ethics and Human Rights said: “This position statement is long overdue, but very much necessary…. We are standing firm in our commitment to health equity, social justice, and breaking down the longstanding barriers, racist systems and structures that have historically barred nurses of color from advancing and realizing their true potential. This position statement provides the tools to empower nurses to practice emancipatory nursing – the active dismantling of systemic racism wherever nurses practice and replacing it with a just and equitable culture.”

RWJF’s Health Data For Action (HD4A) program will support innovative research that uses data to answer important research questions and inform health policy by connecting researchers with data they need. Recognizing that access to rich data is a cornerstone of producing timely and objective research, RWJF’s HD4 program is designed to leverage health data for actionable insights. The New Jersey Department of Health is seeking a consultant with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing supplemented by a Master's degree in a nursing specialty or other related field for a one-year contract. The ANA Innovation Awards highlight, recognize, and celebrate nurse-led innovation that improves patient safety outcomes.
