This week, the team here at Whitesides HQ is pushing hard to meet our fundraising goal ahead of Friday’s FEC deadline. This is an important opportunity to send a message that our campaign to unseat Rep. Mike Garcia has strong, widespread support.

Before I outline why the stakes in our race are so high, will you chip in $3, or whatever you can, to put us in a position to flip CA-27 from red to blue?

These past two weeks have given us a clear look at what the priorities of this Republican-led House majority truly are.

Their agenda is not about improving lives. Rather than effectively govern, they’re focused on attacking women’s rights, banning books, and making life harder for working families in this country.

Case in point: late last week, we learned that Rep. Mike Garcia approved a bill that would lead to a nationwide ban on a safe and widely used abortion medication, mifepristone.

If elected, I’ll fight tirelessly to protect reproductive freedoms. I’ll also work across the aisle to find solutions to some of the most pressing issues facing CA-27 -- creating economic opportunities, protecting Social Security and Medicare, and addressing the wildfire crisis.

CA-27 is the only Republican-held toss-up race in Southern California. What happens here could determine which party controls the House for the next two years. This is our chance to flip this seat and move our community forward, but I’ll need your support to do it:
