John, it's Elizabeth Warren.
At this critical moment for our democracy, we need relentless leaders like Jamaal Bowman who aren't afraid to challenge the system and fight for real, structural change.
That means fighting back against the far-right that has hijacked our judiciary to shred protections for workers, the environment, and abortion rights. It means defending the LGBTQ+ community as right-wing politicians pass legislation that threatens their right to health care, expression, and safety. It means doing everything we can to make the economy work for working people.
I first ran for office because I'd studied how the system was rigged against hardworking people, and I wanted to do something about it. Jamaal wanted to do the same — and I'm glad that he's with me in this fight.
John, I won't sugarcoat what we're up against. Our values and rights are under siege from powerful interests. The gun lobby. Anti-abortion radicals. Big Pharma. Fossil fuel giants. Right-wing extremists. All using their deep pockets to block change. All hoping that we'll get so frustrated we just tune out. Yeah, right.
Big problems require big solutions, and I'm in this fight all the way. Jamaal is all in too.
Here's just one example of what we've teamed up to fight for: the Care for All Agenda. Together, we've worked to center care workers as a pillar of our economy and ensure good wages and benefits, workplace protections, and the right to unionize as we recover from the pandemic. We need to continue to push for transformative policies like these so everyone can thrive.
Thanks for being a part of this,
Elizabeth
