You Don't Need Permission to Love Like Jesus

As people were still working at finding their way around a new venue for Annual Conference Session this year, Rev. Daniel Hilty began his sermon at opening worship by acknowledging that we behave as if we need permission from our group to love someone outside of it. “You don’t need anybody’s permission to love like Jesus,” Hilty said. “All you need is Jesus, a desire to connect, a desire to make new friends, and a desire to grow in Christ’s likeness inside and out.” Read more here→

GCFA Group Ruling
Does your local church have a copy of its 501(c)(3) tax-exempt letter? All U.S. United Methodist Churches are included under a blanket tax-exempt ruling from the IRS. This means your local church requests its letter from GCFA. It's best practice to request a fresh copy every few years. Get yours here→
Mozambique Initiative Mobile Health Clinic
The Mozambique Initiative supports access to healthcare in rural Mozambican communities through its mobile health clinics. Oftentimes, geographic distance makes basic health services inaccessible. Mobile health clinics reduce the distance between the community and its medical care. Closing this gap improves outcomes for pregnant women, children under five and those suffering from easily curable, yet potentially deadly, diseases. We’ve created resources, so you can share how mobile health clinics are improving lives with your church group. Access a one-page info sheet, shareable infographics and more.
