Friend, We started this campaign 110 days ago and last night we officially reached the halfway point with only 109 days to go until Election Day on October 14th. There was no better way to celebrate this milestone than with friends and supporters watching the Tigers bring home another national championship! I had the pleasure of spending the day in Lake Charles recently discussing important issues with local elected officials, members of law enforcement, and the legislative delegation. I even managed to snag an amazing lunch at Darrell’s and speak with some great folks. Can’t wait to visit again soon! As you know, I’m not a career politician and I am running for Governor because I want to make Louisiana stronger. Campaigns are essentially a job interview and I believe it is important to be accessible and responsive to voters – which is why I appreciate every opportunity to speak with groups to discuss the important issues our state is facing. This past week I attended two forums, one sponsored by the Louisiana Farm Bureau and another by the Louisiana State Troopers Association. Thank you to these organizations for continuing to give candidates a place to share their vision and goals for Louisiana. In addition to the forums, I was able to meet with folks at the Tri-Parish Republican Rally on the River. I enjoyed connecting with voters alongside other Republican candidates for offices all over Louisiana. Thank you to the River Parish Republican Executive Committees for putting together this event!
