Recently, we had the opportunity
to interview Kyle Mann, the editor-in-chief of The Babylon Bee, a renowned conservative satirical website.
The Babylon Bee gained national attention in early
2022, when Twitter banned the site for posting a light-hearted spoof about Dr. Rachel Levine, a transgender woman serving as the U.S. Assistant
Secretary of Health. The incident sparked deep concerns over censorship on social media platforms and cancel culture.
During the interview, Mann addressed the
Twitter ban and its profound impact on The Babylon Bee’s circulation – hint: it had a very positive effect! He also
shared his thoughts on various topics, including Elon Musk, the attack on free speech by liberals, and the criteria for choosing satire targets. In
his trademark humorous style, Mann humorously stated future plans for the website, such as getting banned from Facebook and even encouraging Elon Musk
to purchase the platform!
